MOUNTAIN BIKING: Mopac

← NE SALT CREEK FAIRGROUNDS AT LINCOLN NEBR Single Tracks →

Description

The trail is composed of whiterock and winds through a forested area before curving back around and following Highway 50 to Springfield. The trail then breaks away and takes you through farm land, wooded areas and into Springfield, where my teenager and I like to stop and get a refreshment from the old-fashioned Soda Fountain.

The trail itself is built on old railroad right-of-way property, so the terrain is mostly flat with some gently sloping hills. Not for the Tour de France trainer, but a great family ride.

Directions

Trail head is located on the west side of Highway 50 immediately north of the Platte River Bridge to Louisville
